Vernell Regnier -- Bradley -- Visitation for Vernell M. Regnier, 78, of Bradley, will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kankakee. Memorials may be made to the family wishes. She died Monday (Dec. 5, 2005) at the Gilman Nursing Pavilion. Mrs. Regnier was a Living Unit Administrator at Shapiro Developmental Center, retiring after 30 years of service. She was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Bradley, the daughter of Joseph and Maude Self Rapier. Her husband, Zephyr Regnier, whom she married June 30, 1945 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley, died April 25, 1998. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley and enjoyed making quilts and cooking. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, James Sr. and Katie Regnier, Larry and Jeannie Regnier, all of Watseka; four daughters and one son-in-law, Vicki Beutel and Wendell Milligan of Haines City, Fla., Peggy Reilly of Kankakee, Cindy and Brian Kraft of Bourbonnais, Sheila McGlennon of Kankakee; three sisters, Stella Harrington of Onarga, Eleanor Phelps of Missouri, Sharon Shannon of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; one brother, Wayne Rapier of Florida; 20 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Deceased are one son-in-law, Patrick Reilly; two brothers and two sisters.
