Nathaniel Douglas RENEAU

Nathaniel "Nate" Douglas Reneau, 30, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005. He was born Nov. 3, 1976, in San Leandro, Calif., and graduated from Boulder City High School in 1993. Nate served in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Bremerton, Wash., for four years, and was deployed to the Gulf in support of Desert Storm. He worked for U.S. Customs at the Los Angeles Airport, then transferred to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol in Nogales, Ariz., for seven years. Nate left his dream job in Customs to go to Iraq, and did two years with Canine Associates International as a K-9 explosive detection handler. He returned home Sept. 11, 2005, and was deciding which path to take next. Nate had also started a clothing line with his best friends called Dirty Vegas Cartel, where he could express his passion for outdoor activities. Nate is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Chad Sproul; nephew and niece, Piercen and Seryn Sproul with a nephew due in January, who will be named in his honor; and his best friend, Josh Urioste of Las Vegas. Services will be from 3-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. A gathering will immediately follow from 4-8 p.m. at the Boulder Creek Golf Course.
