Catherine R. Thibdeau, 80, a previous resident of Georgetown for 32 years who made her home at Heritage Crest in Southbury for the past nine years, died in Danbury Hospital on Saturday December 10. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Thibdeau in December of 1990.Mrs. Thibdeau was born in New York City on October 28, 1925, a daughter of the late Gideon E. and Mary Cahill Rhea. Prior to her retirement, she had been an executive secretary for over 35 years with the former Southern New England Telephone Company, now known as SBC.Cathy was an avid gardener, a gourmet cook and was blessed with an extensive network of friends. While living in Georgetown, she was an active member of Sacred Heart Church.Survivors include her two nephews, Christopher Craft, of Brookfield, and Timothy Craft, of Beacons Falls; and several cousins, including Jack Cahill of North Tonawanda, N.Y. Cathy was also preceded in death by her sister, Rita Craft, in 1962.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday December 16 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 20 Church St., Georgetown.The interment is to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Bethel.Friends may call at the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church St., Georgetown, on Wednesday December 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.Contributions in memory of Mrs. Thibdeau may be made to t
