Yvonne "Ricki" L. Blain, 94, of Manchester, NH, died June 26, 2005, at her home, after a sudden illness. Born in Manchester, NH on October 27, 1910, she was the daughter of Napoleon and Albina (Fortier) Ricard. She resided in Derry, NH before moving to Manchester in 1939. She attended Derry schools. In her early years, Mrs. Blain was the Queen of the Derry Snowshoe Parade. Until her retirement, she worked as a French cord turner with Klev-Bros. Shoe Company, for many years. She was a longtime communicant of Saint Anthony Church. Mrs. Blain will be remembered as loving and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed, quilting, crocheting, and playing bingo. She was married to Emile J. Blain for forty-six years. He died June 10, 1985. Family members include her son, Ronald E. Blain of Allenstown, NH; her daughter, with whom she resided, Mrs. Robert F. (Rachel B.) Provencher Jr. of Manchester; seven grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren, three sisters, Alma Powers, Irene Beaulieu and Claire Cling all of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services: Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester, NH. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:15AM from the funeral home followed by a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 AM in Saint Anthony Church, Manchester.
