JEANERETTE — Services for Mrs. Lloyd Amy, the former Adelaide Rivette, 87, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today at David Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.Visiting hours will be observed today from 9 a.m. until the time of service with a rosary recited at 11 a.m. at David Funeral Home.A native of Loreauville and a resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Amy died at 3 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at Maison Teche Nursing Center.Mrs. Amy was a member of Woodmen of the World Women of Woodcraft, the 50 Plus Club, Ladies Altar Society, Usher Group, Rosary Group and American Legion Auxillary.She is survived by her son, Chester A. Songne of Jeanerette; three daughters, Mrs. Hilius (Regina) Verret of Jeanerette, Mrs. Emmet (Juliet) Martin of Franklin, and Mrs. Clarence (Elaine) Guardia Jr. of Jeanerette; 18 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.Mrs. Amy was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Amy; parents, Lovinski and Regina Dorsey Rivette; a son, Jules J. Songne; six brothers, Eli, Nicholas, Willie, Ferdinand, Sostan and Volman Rivette; six sisters, Fadora R. Landry, Nora R. Dionne, Melannie R. Landry, Irma, Adelaide and Camella Rivette; first husband, Joseph Songne; and a grandson, Cal Hebert.Pallbearers will be Joel Songne, Kent Hebert, Creig Ransonet, Gregory Songne, Christopher Guardia and Glenn Verret.Honorary pallbearers will be Joey, Jeremy and Jeffery Songne, Tony Ransonet and Carl Hebert.David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of the arrangements.
