Edward L. "Rock" Rocheleau, 83, of Manteca died Friday at Doctors Hospital of Manteca.Mr. Rocheleau was a native of Iron Mountain, Mich. He had lived in Manteca since 1994 and previously lived in Tracy 41years. He worked for the California Department of Corrections for 26 years and retired as a lieutenant in 1979. He also was a professional baker and cake decorator, and owned and operated a cake-decorating business for many years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the State Retirement System and the California State Employers Association. He enjoyed music and playing the organ.He is survived by his wife, Maxine Rocheleau of Manteca; children, Joseph Rocheleau of Thompson Falls, Mont., Michael Rocheleau of Great Falls, Mont., Daniel Rocheleau of Spirit Lake, Idaho, and Sherilyn Edwards of Modesto; stepmother, Ernastine Rocheleau of Iron Mountain; brothers, William Rocheleau of Iron Mountain and Thomas Rocheleau of Bryans Road, Md.; sisters, Marguarite Terry of Racine, Wis., and Evelyn LaChange of Haymarket, Va.; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Visitation from 1 to 5 p.m. today at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. A chapel service will be at noon Thursday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Park View Cemetery.Remembrances may be made to the American Heart Association, 1212 W.
