LOWELL -- Roland A. Rochette, 75, a lifelong Lowell resident who worked for the city for more than three decades, died Thursday, Dec. 1, at Lowell General Hospital, following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late M. Pauline (Demers) Rochette.He was born in Lowell, April 17, 1930, son of the late Thomas J. and Ecephise (Doucette) Rochette. He attended Lowell schools and was a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Church.Before retiring, Mr. Rochette was a heavy equipment operator with the city of Lowell for 36 years.Mr. Rochette was a member of the VFW in Tyngsboro and was an avid fisherman.He is survived by his children, Judith Bellerose and her husband, Gerard Bellerose Jr. of Manchester, N.H., Thomas Rochette and Eugene Rochette, both of Northwood, N.H., and Louise Bradley and her husband Daniel Bradley Sr. of Tewksbury; six grandchildren, Julianne Bradley of Tewksbury, Amanda Bellerose of Manchester, N.H., Daniel Bradley, Jr. of Tewksbury, Brandon, Derek and Kali Bellerose, all of Manchester, N.H.; a sister, Therese Pomerleau of Chelmsford; a brother, Raymond Rochette of Windham, N.H.; an aunt and uncle, Frank Rochette and Irene Dube, both of Lowell; a sister-in-law, Frances James and her husband, Richard of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews.
