Ernest T. ROY

PEMBROKE -- Ernest T. Roy, 99, of Pleasant Street, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at Concord Hospital. Born March 8, 1906, in Armagh, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of Napoleon and Delia (Boutin) Roy. He immigrated to the U.S. when he was 14 years old, lived in Nashua for a short time, and was a resident of Pembroke for more than 75 years. He was a retired textile worker, having been employed by both Textron and the Concord Mills. He was a member of the CIO Union, Local No. 1141. He was the widower of Jeanne D'Arc (Larcher) Roy, who died in 1997 and to whom he had been married 64 years. Survivors include two sons, Roger Roy of Pembroke and Raymond Roy of Hooksett; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Martin Roy of Manchester. Calling hours will not be held. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown, where the Rev. Donald Clinton, pastor, will be celebrant.
