Marie D. ROY

CLEARY, MARIE D., 88, formerly of Andover Street, died Monday at Bay Tower Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Cleary. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary C. (Farrell) Roy, she lived in North Providence for many years. Mrs. Cleary was a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for 27 years. She later worked at Heritage Hills Nursing Centre for 13 years before retiring in 1995. She was a 1939 graduate of the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing.She leaves a daughter Donna M. Wallace of Burke, VA; two sons Timothy M. Cleary of Providence, and Edward J. Cleary, Jr. of Warwick; a brother, Joseph Roy of Pawtucket; a sister Christine Peterson of Valley Ctr., CA and five grandsons. She was the sister of the late Arthur, Hubert and Gilbert Roy.Her funeral will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Published in The Providence Journal on 12/28/2005.
