Geneva R. SANDEN

Geneva R. Amiot, 78, formerly of Grand Forks, ND, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 in Springfield, MO. Geneva Rudean Sanden was born June 1, 1927 in Mekinock, ND the daughter of Joseph and Bella Sanden. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks and attended Central High School. She married Harry N. Amiot on October 8, 1971. They lived in Grand Forks before moving to Springfield, MO in 1979. They returned to Grand Forks in 1983. Harry Amiot died March 18, 1984. Geneva moved to Springfield, MO in 1997. She also lived in Milton, FL before returning to Springfield. Geneva enjoyed music and dancing. She loved being around family and friends but most especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include: Sons, David Merrill, Sacramento, CA, Douglas (Debra) Merrill, Milton, FL, Tim (Gina) Merrill, Milton, FL and John (Lisa) Merrill, Springfield, MO; stepson, Glen (Carol) Amiot, Minot, ND; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sister Beulah (Lloyd) Staveteig, Grand Forks, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, by brothers Tennis Sanden and Robert Sanden and by a grandson, Christopher Merrill. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2005 in St. Michael's Catholic Church of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. prayer service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will continue for the hour before mass in the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery of Grand Forks, ND.
