CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, in Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Dorothy Ann Savoie Henry, 61, the former Dorothy Ann Savoie, who passed away at 4:16 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Carencro. Minister Anthony Jackson will officiate at the services.Mrs. Henry was a native of Bosco, La. and a resident of Carencro for the past 20 years. She had been a member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Briscoe, La. Survivors include her husband, Davis Henry, of Sunset; one son, Ronald Davis Henry and his wife, Marilyn, of Orange, Texas; five daughters, Mary Joyce Thornton and her husband, Michael, of Sulphur, La., Joann Guidry and her husband, Timothy, of Houston, Texas and Doris Davis and her special friend, Willie, Tammy Kay and her husband, Vincent, and Fredia Henry and her husband, David, all of Orange, Texas; and three sisters, Janell Citizen, Rita York and her husband, Willie, and Elizabeth Savoie, all of Houston, Texas.She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Thomas Savoie and the former Corita Carter.The family requests visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. Saturday until time of services.Pallbearers will be Timothy Guidry, David Frank, Kenneth Wheeler, Delton Carter, Christopher Henry and Wilbert Citizen.Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N.
