EAST GREENBUSH -- Floretta M. Seguin Tate, 90, passed from this life on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at Evergreen Commons. Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Raymond Seguin Sr. and Rena Mochon Seguin.A longtime Troy resident, she was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. She also lived in Saratoga Lake for 25 years.Mrs. Tate was a homemaker most of her life. She also owned and managed student housing in Troy for many years. She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy.Survivors include four sons, John H. Tate Jr. (Dorothy) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Robert D. Tate (Diane) of Center Brunswick, David A. Tate (Gina) of Otego and Ralph P. Tate (Jean) of Middle Grove; a sister, Mary Foy Carter of Latham; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Floretta was predeceased by her husband, John H. Tate Sr., who died in 1983, and her longtime companion, James J. Fucci, who died in 2000; her brothers, Raymond Seguin Jr. and Lester Seguin; and a great-granddaughter, Isabella Dorothy Tate.Funeral services will be at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh, and at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Troy, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Jean's Cemetery, Troy. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.The family wants to give special thanks to the staff of Evergreen Commons for their compassionate care given to Floretta.
