WINCHENDON -- David L. Sevigny Sr., 61, of 1 Wendell Drive, died peacefully in his residence late Wednesday, Dec. 14, surrounded by his loving family, following an illness. He was born in Winchendon on Oct. 4, 1944, the son of Henry J. and Ethel M. (Gassett) Sevigny and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. Mr. Sevigny was the owner and operator of David L. Sevigny Inc., which he founded in 1963. He formerly owned a building supply business in Winchendon. He was a member of the Winchendon Board of Health, was a former member of the Winchendon Fire Department, was a life member of the Winchendon Rod and Gun Club, and was a generous supporter of the DARE program, the Murdock Sports Boosters and sponsored a Winchendon Little League team. Mr. Sevigny leaves his wife of 33 years, Cheryl P. (Wiles) Sevigny; four sons, David L. Sevigny Jr., Richard A. Sevigny, Anthony W. Sevigny and Michael J. Sevigny, all of Winchendon; four daughters, Cathleen C. Sevigny, Patricia A. Sevigny, Diane M. Sevigny and Mary A. Sevigny, all of Winchendon; a brother, Henry J. Sevigny of Gardner; a sister, Marjorie Allen of Athol; 14 grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. SEVIGNY -- On Dec. 14, David L. Sevigny, Sr., 61, of Winchendon. In accordance with his wishes, private funeral services will be held in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
