DUMAS, HAYDEE SILVIA, was born in Managua, Nicaragua, on Nov. 3, 1912, and began her family when she married her handsome young Marine, Henry E. Dumas. Traveling around the world, she learned a love of life and an uncommon appreciation for people and their differences, partly evidenced in her sense of humor. As our matriarch, she gave us stability and security, love and compassion and united the family at holidays and birthdays. Haydee, 92, beloved wife, devoted grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on Wed., Sep. 14, 2005, in S. Miami, FL. She is survived by her 4 children, 18 grandchildren, her many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. She now brings us together to remember her love and spirit. Our Lord has taken her soul to sit next to him, as we wait for our turn to be in his presence. Services to be held at: Caballero-Woodlawn from 12 noon to 12 midnight on Sat., Sep. 17, 11655 SW 117 Avenue, Miami, FL 33176. To visit this Guest Book Online, go to www.herald.com/obituaries.
