FREEMAN, Mary Margaret (nee Robertson), After a good life of love, family and friends, passed away peacefully at Trillium Hospital February 3, 2004, in her 74th year. Survived by her husband Geoffrey of 49 years; sons John (Pam), Neil (Patricia Phil lips), Geoff (Dawn), and daughter Deanne "Missie" (Ash Bassili); grandchildren Erin, Gregory, Michael, Britney, Nastasia, Eliot, Adison, and brothers John and Ross. Predeceased by her parents Margaret and Richard (St. Catharines Mayor 1949-51) and br other Richard. Mary lived a full life with many high points stemming from devotion to family, service to community and commitment to friends. She received great pleasure from the camaraderie of her nursing class (50 years of uninterrupted monthly mee tings) and her many curling and lawn bowling companions. After graduating from Alma College (1949) and Mack Training School (1954), she raised a family, worked in nursing and insurance and served as a school trustee in Mississauga. Always an active v olunteer, she was on her church's board and headed its Explorers and CGIT groups, Port Credit's Figure Skating Club and Mack's Alumni Association. First visitation Friday, February 6th 7-9 p.m., OAKVIEW FUNERAL HOME, 56 Lakeshore Rd., W. Oakville. Se cond visitation Saturday, February 7th at First United Church, Port Credit will precede a 2 p.m. funeral service. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to First United Church, 151 Lakeshore Rd.
