YOUNGSVILLE - Randall Paul "Monkey" Sonnier, 40, of Youngsville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at his residence.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at St. Anne Catholic Church, in Youngsville, with the Rev. Randy Barras as the celebrant. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.Born March 22, 1965, Monkey enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include his common law wife, Jennifer Bernard, of Youngsville; mother and step-father, Maudrey Hebert Champagne and Joseph Champagne, of Youngsville; sons, Ryan Sonnier and Ronnie Sonnier, both of Youngsville; step-sons, Tawaski Chiasson, of New Iberia, Jeremy Chiasson and wife, Jamie, of Rayne; brothers, Kevin Sonnier, Garrett Sonnier, and Corwyn Sonnier, all of Youngsville; sisters, Carla Ballew and Donalyn Vallot, both of Youngsville; grandchildren, Alex, Alli and Alyssa Chiasson, all of Rayne; step-brother, Kenneth Gerard, of New Iberia; step-sister, Delta Gerard, of New Iberia; nieces and nephews, Meghan Sonnier, Jacob and Zachary Ballew, Kaily Vallot, Landon, Lance, Katilyn, and Cole Sonnier, Eric and Kyle Carter.He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Sonnier.Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Kevin Sonnier, Garrett Sonnier, Corwyn Sonnier, David Krieg, Robert Krieg, Tawaski Chiasson, Jeremy Chiasson and Kenneth Hebert.Honorary pallbearers include Jerome Bernard, Bill Longmire, Ivan Savoie, Roger Broussard and Ronald Williams.A gathering of family and friends will be held from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday at David Funeral Home, 316 Youngsville Hwy, in Lafayette.
