Virginia STALLINGS

Virginia S. Manseau , Portsmouth -- Virginia Stallings Manseau, 83, formerly of Harbinger, N.C., passed away Aug. 25, 2005. Born in Gates County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Kimerial and Minnie Stallings and the wife of the late Carey M. Manseau. Virginia retired from the Colonial Stores grocery chain after many years of service. She was a member and former Sunday school teacher at Ocean View Baptist Church in Nags Head, N.C. She is survived by three sisters, Frances Stallings Walke, Margie Stallings Monds and Justine Stallings Persons; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Stallings Winslow; and two brothers, Kimerial "Pete" Stallings Jr. and James Robert Stallings. A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m.
