Helen Stansbury Landry Roche, 81, of Fannett, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2005 at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Acres with Rev. Antony Moozhikuzhy officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland under the direction of Broussard's, 505 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday evening, December 27, 2005 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. by Butch Richard at the mortuary. Mrs. Roche was a native of Perry, Louisiana and lived most of her life in LaBelle before moving to Fannett four years ago to reside with her daughter. She retired from Gulf Oil Corporation in Port Arthur after several years of service, as a Registered Nurse in the Medical Department. Mrs. Roche was preceded in death by her husbands, Francis E. Landry, and L.J. "Buddy" Roche Sr.; parents, Norwood T. and Ella Stansbury; and also her grandson, Micah Parker. She is survived by two daughters, Arlene Garcia and husband Rudy of Fannett and Sue Parker and husband Alton of Hillister; one son, Norwood E. Landry Sr. and wife Diane of Port Arthur; one sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Keneson of LaBelle; three brothers, Norwood J. "Bud" Stansbury and wife Barbara of Port Acres, G.C. "Curnie" Stansbury and wife Alzada of Fannett, and C.A. "Ben" Stansbury and wife Ramona of Fannett; ten grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
