Gordon STEBENNE

STEBENNE - Gordon Stebenne, was born in Denver, CO, on April 13, 1935. Raised in Long Beach, CA. Graduated from Long Beach State in 1958. Served in the US Army from 1958 to 1960. Gordon married Joanne Lindsey in 1968. He owned Gordon Stebenne Insurance Group for over 25 years. Gordon was deeply involved in the Pasadena Sister Citites Com. for over 20 years. Served for four years as Pres. until Jan. 2005. He traveled extensively including trips to Europe, Japan, and China. He was an active member of Lake Avenue Church and the Voyagers for the last 15 years. His love for the Lord ran strong and deep throughout his life. Gordon is survived by his wife Joanne, sister Corienne of Seattle, WA, son Mark 34 of Bos ton, and three granddaughters, Mia, Emma, and Hannah. A memorial service will be held at Lake Ave Church in Pasadena, Friday, May 27, at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Assoc., Calabasas Hills, or to Pasadena Sister Cities Committee, Pas, CA. Published in the Whittier Daily News on 5/20/2005.
