Mona May STETSON

GORHAM, NH -- Mona May Larocque of Gorham, NH, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005 at the age of 79. She was born in Coventry, Vt., May 32, 1926, the daughter of Edwin and Eunice (Davidson) Stetson.A member of of the St. Johnsbury Class of 1944, she loved arts and crafts, working in her gardens and playing cards. In the winter she enjoyed visiting her sister in Florida. Many parents and children will remember the child care she provided for over 20 years in the area.On Sept. 25, 1945, she married Donald "Dice" Larocque, Jr., who predeceased her in 1996. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Patricia, and a brother, Carl Stetson. Survivors include two sons Donald O. "Rocky" Larocque, III, of Lyndon, Vt., and Richard C. Larocque of Passumpsic, Vt., a daughter, Mel Brochu of Gorham; a brother, Dr. John Stetson and wife Roberta of Syracuse, N.Y; two sisters, Erma McDanie of Navarre, Fla., and Denise Chamberlain and husband Herman of North Danville, Vt.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at the Guibord Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 23, with Father Richard O'Donne officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyndon Center Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet the family at the Guibord Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 2 to 5 p.m. Contributions in Mrs. Larocque's memory may be made to the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab.
