Christabell Dionne -- Marrero, La. -- Visitation for Christabell L. Dionne, 95, of Marrero, La., formerly of Bourbonnais, died Thursday (Nov. 3, 2005) at Wynhoven Nursing Home in Marrero. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Maternity BVM Catholic Church, Bourbonnais. Rev. Richard Pighini will officiate. Burial will be in Maternity BVM Cemetery, Bourbonnais. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphona Society or the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Dionne was born July 14, 1910, in Kankakee, the daughter of Edmund and Corine Gereaux Surprenant. Her husband, Armel Leonard Dionne, whom she married July 15, 1929 at St. Rose in Kankakee, died Jan. 26, 1984. She was a seamstress and worked in the dry cleaning business. She was the former president of The Ladies of St. Anne. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert Dionne of Marrero, La., Raymond and Norma Jean Dionne of Bourbonnais, Roland and Iris Dionne of Peoria; two daughters, Ruth D. Klein of Cambridge, Wis., Madonna D. Lane of Littleton, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three half brothers, John and Tootie of Kankakee, Anthony and Evelyn of Momence, Paul and friend Marie of Kankakee. One son, Richard; five brothers, Roland, Marcel, Lionel, Thomas and Marvin; one sister, Margaret S. McKay; and one grandchild, Lorie, are deceased.
