Ralph Joseph SURPRENANT

SURPRENANT, Ralph Joseph (Age 83) of Sequim, WA passed away on November 13, 2005.He was born on november 27, 1921 on the family homestead in Terrebonne, MN to John and Josephine (Bougie) Surprenant.. He proudly volunteered in the Army at the start of WWII and was a Scout in the 103rd Infantry Division throughout the war. Ralph and his wife Dorothy moved from Marysville, WA to Bonners Ferry, ID in 1972 to raise her son and their three children. He was a contractor by trade who sold his business and developments to retire to a rural setting to give his children the upbringing he had on a farm. In 1985 when the marriage dissolved it was Ralph who raised and devoted his life to their children. He wasn't one to sit still and assisted others in building their homes, developed commercial property and worked at times for Kit-San Construction overseeing some of their large projects. He retired once again and moved to Sequim. He is survived by two stepchildren: Karen and Jim Adams of Cle Elum and Bob Surprenant of Bonners Ferry, ID. Daughters: Susan and Matt Kirsch of Spokane, Michelle and Colin Huffman of Port Angeles. Son: Michael and Christy Surprenant of Bellingham. Sisters: Sister Maureen of the Order of Sisters of St. Joseph in Crookston, MN and Katherine and Tim Baril of Townsend, WI. Brothers: Vern and Cecile Surprenant of Terrebonne and John and Bernadine Surprenant of Milwaukee, WI. Brother-In-Law: Steve and Pearl Kanyusuik of Sterling Heights, MI. He was preceded in death by Steve's wife Doris; his infant brother Mark; sisters: Eva Arel and Gloria Normandine; Parents; John and Josephine Surprenant. Ralph's most precious survivors are his grandchildren: Kristen, Mat, Tara, Chantal, Garrett, Kiera, Grace and Kade. There will be no funeral or services at his request.
