Yvonne Lenore SWENSON

Yvonne Lenore Rioux, age 53, Baudette, MN. Yvonne Lenore Swenson was born to Vivian and Ingeborg (Turtedal) Swenson at Northwood, North Dakota on June 29, 1951. She grew up in this area and graduated from Larimore High School in 1969. On May 9, 1970, at the First Congregational Church in Baudette, Yvonne was married to Kerry Atwood Rioux. They made their home in Baudette until 1978 when they moved to Anaconda, Montana. In 1983 they returned to Baudette and Kerry went to work for Marvin Windows. In 1988 Yvonne went to work for Ralph and Randy's Market; later name Lake of the Woods Foods. She was working there as the customer-service clerk in 2004 when she began having health problems. Yvonne has been receiving health care since and died at their home under hospice care on Wednesday evening - April 27, 2005. She was 53 years, 9 months, and 28 days of age at the time. Besides Kerry, she is survived by two daughters - Lynnae and Mark Fickas of Eveleth, Minnesota and Jeannette and Brian Major Jr. of Baudette / five grandchildren - Alyssa, Anthony, and Anna Fickas and Zachery and Josiah Major / her mother - Ingeborg Swenson of Northwood, North Dakota / three sisters - Eunice and Gordon Peterson of Story, Wyoming; Bette and Kevin Grass of Northwood; and Debbie Swenson of Dillsboro, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her father in 1968 / a sister - Linda Swenson in 1966 / her three brothers - Allen in 1966; Edward "Eddie' in 1976; and Verryl "Ervin' in 2000; a sister-in-law Peggy Swenson in 1966; and a nephew - Walter Brian Swenson in 1966. Yvonne will be buried at Elm Park Cemetery at Baudette. Visitation: Sunday, May 1, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Helgeson Funeral Chapel of Baudette.
