Warren N. Tache , Virginia Beach -- Retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Warren N. Tache, 81, went to be with the Lord Nov. 8, 2005, in a local hospital. Born June 21, 1924, in Fall River, Mass., Warren served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years. He was awarded the Air Medal for exceptional ability and outstanding devotion to duty to service in World War II. He went on to work as a systems analyst for QED. He was an active member of Church of the Ascension in Virginia Beach and belonged to the Elks club. He was preceded in death by his son, William A. Tache. Warren is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Irene C. Tache; his children, Thomas W. Tache of Newport News, Cathleen T. Matthews, Connie M. Francisco, Patrick A. Tache and wife Cindy, all of Virginia Beach and Mary A. Pipkin and husband Scott of Chesapeake; his grandchildren, Alicia and Peter Mathews, Renee Mangiaracina and husband Ronnie, Jeremy Francisco and Holly Tache. A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. James E. Parke at the Church of the Ascension. The family will receive friends at the church starting at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family will requests that memorial donations be made to the Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad or Church of the Ascension.
