MARLENE J. BROWN EDEN MILLS - Marlene J. Brown, 68, died peacefully Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, in Copley Hospital in Morrisville with her family by her side. She was born Feb. 18., 1937, in Burlington, the daughter of Francis and Ethel Brooks Touchette. She married Robert P. “Gramp“ Brown on July 29, 1955. She was a seamstress at the Johnson Woolen Mills for many years. She enjoyed working puzzles, country music an loved her dog, “Sammy.“ She is survived by her son, Timothy Brown of Eden Mills; two daughters, Connie Earle and her companion, Richard Thompson of Eden; Darlene Robillard and her husband, Paul of Brownington; two brothers, Henry Touchette of Waterbury and Arnold “Bucky“ Touchette of St. Albans Bay; and her twin sister, Charlene Bartlett of Brattleboro; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild expected to be born in May; also surviving is her special longtime friend, Peggy; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert P. “Gramp“ Brown on June 4, 1999; a daughter, Judy Mae Brown, two brothers, and four sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the White-Fiess Funeral Home, 165 Brooklyn St., Morrisville. Graveside memorial services will be held in the spring in the Eden Corners Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marlene's memory may be made to Lamoille Home Health and Hospice, 54 Farr Ave., Morrisville, Vt. 05661.
