George TRAHAN

George Trahan, Sr., 71, of Port Arthur, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2005 at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves with Rev. Stephen McCrate presiding. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the funeral home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. George was born on December 16, 1934 in China, Texas to his parents James Trahan and Amy DeRouen Trahan. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur and was a retired plumber for the Port Arthur Independent School District for thirty-two years. Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Barbara Trahan of Port Arthur; sons, George Gray "Bubba" Trahan, Jr. and his wife Catherine of Iowa, Louisiana; Dennis Trahan of Port Arthur; daughter, Terry Lynn Wales of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Sean Mageau, Ashley Mageau, George Trahan, D. Wayne Porter, Justin Wales and Brittany Wales. Serving as Pallbearers will be Justin Wales, D. Wayne Porter, Craig Lee, Doug Angelle, George LeJune and Edmond Manuel. 5200 W.
