DELCAMBRE — Services for Mary Louise Comeaux, 76, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with the Rev. Herb Bennerfield officiating. Interment followed in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Cemetery.Visiting hours were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation resumed Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005 from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home and from noon until the time of service at the church.A resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Comeaux died at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at Abbeville General Hospital.Mrs. Comeaux was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Delcambre and a member of the St. Joseph Society.She is survived by her son, Harris Comeaux Jr.; a daughter, Susan Comeaux; a grandson, Tony Leon Comeaux all of Delcambre; two brothers, Walter Jones Jr. and David Duhon, both of Abbeville; two step-brothers, Joe Trahan of California and Sonny Boy Kelly of Jennings; two sisters-in-law, Myrtle Comeaux of New Iberia and Wilda Jones of Abbeville; a special cousin, Willa Mae Brousssard of Erath; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Mrs. Comeaux was preceded in death by her husband, Harris J. Comeaux; parents, Edward Trahan and Effie Francis; a step-sister, Laura Mae Trahan; and three brothers, Lawrence, J.T. and Ponto Trahan.Pallbearers were Gary George, Billie Comeaux, Sylvester Harrison, Roland Derouen, Curley Reaux and Kenneth Roy.Honorary pallbearers were Walter Jones Jr., David Duhon, Oris Solomon, Tony Comeaux, Peter Harris Comeaux Jr., Sonny Boy Kelly, Joe Trahan, Brock George and Dalton Comeaux.Fletcher Funeral Home of New Iberia was in charge of the arrangements.
