Gary M. TROTTIER

WATERVILLE -- Gary M. Trottier, 50, died Sunday Dec. 18, 2005, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville, following a long illness.He was born in Pawtucket, R.I., on Sept. 8, 1955, the son of Gerard and Ruth (Roque) Trottier. Gary grew up in Pawtucket and graduated from high school there. Following graduation, he served in the United States Marine Corps.Gary worked in the circulation department for both the Morning Sentinel and Kennebec Journal up until his illness.He loved hunting and fishing and had a passion for softball. He enjoyed both playing and coaching. Gary loved sports and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He had a great time with his beagle, Captain.Besides his parents, Gary was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth. Surviving are his companion, Beverly Roy of Waterville; his children, Katie Trottier of Pawtucket, Thomas Hujara III and companion, Farrah, of Waterville, Brandi Hujara of Augusta, Cami-Lynn Hujara of Fairfield, Georgette Tillinghast and companion, Mark Boudreau of Sidney, and Ruth Ann Tillinghast of Oakland; a brother, Ronald Trottier of Pawtucket; his little niece, Chunky Monkey Taylor Tillinghast; special friends Brat Elgena Dumphy of Fairfield, Duane, Tom and Jeff Arbo, Ed Papis and Ernie Atkins. Gary also had many special friends and coworkers at the Morning Sentinel and Kennebec Journal.A memorial service will be held on Jan. 7, with the time and place to be announced by Wheeler Funeral Home of Oakland.Those who wish may make memorial donations in Gary's memory to Waterville Area Humane Society, 120 Drummond Ave., Waterville, ME 04901; or to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, P.O.
