Claire A. TRUDEAU

Claire A. Trudeau of Auburn died on August 21, 2005 at home. He was 78. Born in on January 27, 1927 in Woonsocket, South Dakota. He enlisted in the US Navy, March, 1944, at the age of 17. On June 22, 1947, he married Carol Voigt of Tyndall, South Dakota. They were married 58 years. He worked as a truck driver and meat cutter until they moved to Auburn in 1964. He was employed at Boeing Company for 5 years and left to operate his own landscaping business, Auburn Lawn & Fences, with his sons. He was employed by the Auburn School District as Grounds Supervisor until 1975, when he become Supervisor of Maintenance & Transportation in the Sumner School District until his retirement. He then worked for Avis Rent a Car for 8 years, until his health began to fail. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons, Larry and Dan of Sumner, Lonnie of Auburn, and three daughters, Pamela Trudeau and Sherri Salisbury, Sumner and Penny Powers, Federal Way. Thirteen grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A sister, Orla Adney of Silver Springs, Maryland. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 3:00, at the United Methodist Church in Auburn. Internment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Maple Valley.
