RACINE - Monica S. 'Monie' (nee: Walsh) Carbonneau, 94, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2005, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Monica was born in Racine, August 19, 1910, daughter of William and Rose (nee: Sherman) Walsh Morrall and was a lifelong resident of Racine. In January of 1942 she was united in marriage to Cletus J. Carbonneau who preceded her in death, October 28, 1996. Monica was employed by Woolworth's Department Store for 20 years until her retirement in 1963. Monica was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and active in their Mission Group and Christian Mothers. She had a special love and passion for putting together wonderful crafts and beautiful quilts. Above all, she was a loving wife and mother who will be dearly missed. Survivors include her son, Cary Carbonneau of Racine; her brothers, Jerome (Pauline) Walsh of Racine and Frank (Pat) Morrall of Florida; special adopted granddaughter, Chris Czarnecki of Waterford, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward and Lloyd; and her sister, Rosemarie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Avenue, Tuesday, August 2, 2005, 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ronald O. Crewe officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Avenue. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Memorials to one's favorite charity have been suggested.
