Marguerite Blanchard, 83, of Plano, Texas died July 19, 2005 in Estes Park, Colorado. Marguerite Rose Wimmer was born April 25, 1922 in Manitowoc, Wis. Her parents were Michael and Elizabeth (Kautzer) Wimmer. She graduated from Manitowoc High School and attended Nursing School in California. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse. On Feb. 7, 1942, she married William John Blanchard in Manitowoc. For 20 years, she worked at the Buena Park Medical Center in Cerritos, Calif. and retired in the early 1980Õs. Her husband died in 1997. While working, they lived in Long Beach and Orange, Calif. After retiring they lived in Hesperia, Calif. for 25 years and were members of St. NorbertÕs Catholic Church. In 2000, Marguerite moved to Plano, Texas and was visiting her daughter in Estes Park at the time of her death. In Plano, she was a member of St. MarkÕs Catholic Church. Mass was celebrated on July 25, 2005. She will be buried next to her husband in Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif. on Friday at 1:15 p.m., Staging Area No. 2. Marguerite is survived by her daughter Carol Gresslin and her husband, Tom of Plano and Estes Park, three sisters Dorothy Elfner of Manitowoc, Wis., Violet McMahon of Baraboo, Wis, Louella Engelking of Slinger, Wis., granddaughter Kristie Gresslin of Plano and grandsons Thomas and Steven Gresslin of Garland, Texas, great-grandchildren, Lauren and Hailey Gresslin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Mark Wimmer and three sisters, Millicent Stansell, Jean Van Ells and Corrine Dailey.
