Francis Tone, of Hanover, passed away at Saugeen Villa Nursing Home, Hanover on Friday, February 6, 2009, surrounded by his family, in his 90th year. Born in Normanby Township, son of the late Thomas and Mary (Morris) Tone. Survived by children Robert (Barb) Tone of Ayton, Bryan (Jean) Tone of Durham, Denise (Dennis) Fischer of Durham, Kevin Tone of Wasaga Beach, Deanna (Ray) Lewis of Hanover, Mary-Jo Tone of RR 3 Durham, 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, sister Mary (Bert) Beresford of Ayton, brothers-in-law Milton (Marie) Foerster of Hanover, Paul (Barb) Foerster of Ayton, Fred Seim of Hanover, sisters-in-law Doris Foerster of Neustadt, Meta Tone of Ayton, Eileen Tone of Largo, Florida. Predeceased by wife Gertrude “Gertie” (Foerster) Tone, grandson Mark, brothers Joseph, Morris, Cyril and Walter. Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Sunday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 10:30 am, at Holy Family Church, Hanover. Father Mervin Perera officiated. Interment in Hanover Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Paul Tone, Jeff Tone, Chris Fischer, Craig Fischer, Kevin Lerch, Joshua Kreller and Darrin Tone.
