CHARLES “ARTHUR” WILKINSON Charles “Arthur” Wilkinson, of Walkerton, formerly of Hanover, passed away at Brucelea Haven Home for the Aged, Walkerton on Monday, February 9, 2009. He was 94. Born in Bentinck Township, son of the late Charles and Mary (Black) Wilkinson. Arthur farmed in Bentinck Township and was an engineer with the Fergus Hospital until retiring. Survived by daughters Mary (Lee) Troy of Hanover, and Shirley Harron of Hanover, grandchildren Linda (Bruce) Ritchie, Rick (Michelle) Troy, Scott Troy, Sheryl (Nick) Giesler, Suzanne Blackburn and 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Bill (Shirley) Wilkinson of Hanover, sister Ada Bell of Hanover, sister-in-law Ruby Wilkinson of Teeswater and Doris Crewson of Hanover. Predeceased by his wife Violet (Diebel) Wilkinson, son-in-law Ed Harron, brothers Ken, John, Gordon and Bert Wilkinson. Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 11 am until time of funeral service at 12 noon. Rev. Rienk Vlietstra officiated. Interment in Hanover Cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
