KING, Avis Irene, Passed away to God and from all who loved her so much on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the Upper Canada Lodge Niagara-on-the-Lake at the age of 90. Predeceased by her late husband Edward L. King. Survived by her four sons, Eddie, Pau l, Wayne, and Gary King and her only daughter Nadine L'Herault (King). Also survived by her sister Mercia King of Applevally, CA, her late sister Edna Mathews of Colorado Springs, brother John Wearden of Detroit, MI and sister Lillian Cochrane of Ham ilton, ON. Avis worked at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, ON for many years. She leaves behind her eight grandchildren, Debbie, Eddie, Laura, Cathy, Timmy, Teri, Leanne, and Connie. Viewing at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., Satu rday & Sunday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held on Sunday at 7 p.m. Final viewing Monday at 10 a.m. followed by Mass at St. Alfred's (Vine and Carlton St.) at 11:00 a.m. After Mass, laid to rest at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in West Hamilton.
