BOWEN, "Queenie" Mabel Evelyn, Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Ina Grafton Gage Village on Thursday, March 25,, 2004. She was ini her 95th year. Her Welsh heritage gave her a love for music and a zest for life which she sha red with all who knew her. Beloved wife of the late Thomas "Archie" Bowen. Loving Mam of Muriel Stevenson, Dolores (George) Losier of Killaloe, Ontario, and the late Malcolm (Joan) Bowen. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Peggy Stevenson, Bill (Suezete) Stevenson, Eric (Kelly) Stevenson, Kim Losier-Lavacca, Tom (Cathy) Losier, Mark Losier and Donna (Gary) Willard. Cherished great-grandmother of Sarah, Laara, Robyn, Brooke, Taryn, Shaelyn, Nicholas, Tiffany, Mackenzie, and Lauren. Survived by her brother Ken Stone and his wife Lillian of Coppercliff, Ontario. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews as well as numerous family members both in Canada and Wales. Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Marguerite Stone, a sister Elsie Chedgey,brothers Bert, Vic, and Harry, and great-grandson Austin Stevenson. The family would like to thank the staff of the Ina Grafton Gage Village, Henry Goertzen and Dr. Whitty for their care and friendship. Queenie is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A funeral service for Queenie will be held at Carleton United Church on Tuesday, March 30 at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funera l home on Monday, March 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial remembrances to the Ina Grafton Gage Village Pastoral Care or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
