Dorothy Marian DIX

BURWELL, Dorothy Marian (nee Dix) - Born August 4, 1926 Rouleau, Saskatchewan. Died February 16, 2009, Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Orillia. Predeceased by her husband, The Reverend Beverly Burwell, her brothers Wilbur Dix, Dr. Wesley Dix, Melvin Dix. Dorothy enjoyed a long and productive career in psychiatric nursing as a staff nurse, head nurse, and clinical specialist. Director of Nursing Education at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry in Toronto. Loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews and their extended families. Spiritually grounded through discussion, debate, and friendship with The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), Simcoe-Muskoka Meeting. Memorial donations to the Society would be appreciated and will be received by the SIMCOE FUNERAL HOME, 38 James Street E. Orillia L3V 1L1, 705-327-0221.
