HIPWELL, Elizabeth Frances (nee: Powell) - Passed away peacefully at the Leacock Care Centre, Orillia on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 in her 88th year. Elizabeth Hipwell, of Orillia and formerly of Toronto, beloved wife of the late Frederick “Oliver“ Hipwell. Loving mother of Margo & husband Doug Thompson of Orillia, Miranda Julie Lawrence of Toronto, Peter & wife Shelley Hipwell of Lansdowne. Grandmother of Heather Thompson (Ken Ralph) of Ireland, Katherine DeCaire (Blayne) of Orillia, Shelagh Thompson (Tyson Cotnam) of B.C., Andrew Graham (Tara) of Mississauga, and Olivia Hipwell of Lansdowne. Great grandmother of Donnacha, Conor & Rory Ralph, Briar & Garret DeCaire, and Emma Graham. Predeceased by brother Frederick Powell. A graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto in the spring. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
