LIARD, Fernand Sr. (1945-2004) - It is with profound sadness that the family announces his sudden passing at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, on May 17, 2004. Beloved son of the late Joseph Liard and the late Lucille Paquette. Devoted husband of Marceline Liard (nee Breton), his loving wife of 38 years. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his sons Harry Liard (Lynn) of Verner and Fernand Liard Jr. of Lavigne. His memory will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren Stéphanie, Mélissa, Valérie and Ryan Liard. Cherished brother of Thérèse Ménard (Paul) of Lavigne, Victor Liard (late Rita) of Massey, Mireille Labrosse (Aurel) of Field, and late Lionel and Raymond Liard. Also left to mourn his loss are close family friends, Brian and Christine Amyot of Sturgeon Falls. Mr. Liard was an Ironworker, Local 786, Sudbury. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree, Council 2566. Visitation at the THÉORÊT FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, May 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 20th at 1 p.m. by Reverend Denis Savignac at the Church of the Résurrection. In lieu of flowers the family would gratefully acknowledge donations to the North Eastern Regional Cancer Centre or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
