Hubert ROSE

ROSE, Hubert - Born in Luben, Germany. In his 77th year, after a brave battle with cancer on February 24, 2009, at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, with his loving family at his side. He leaves behind his children Gary (Lisa), Sig (Margaret), Angela Kennedy (Doug), Frank (Anna Silvestri), David (Kelly Ryan), daughter-in- law Kathy, his grandchildren Rick (Sara), Cynthia (Kyle), Aleta, Phillip, Elizabeth (Wayne), Andrew, Lindsay Russ (Jay), Hilary, Jeremy, Steven, Chris, Zoe, Brynn, great grandchildren Jordan, Jacob and Andrea. Beloved brother of Dieter Rose (Irmgard) of Frankenburg, Germany and Sigrid Singer of Crimmitschau, Germany. Brother-in-law of Henry (Bev) Czepek, Louis (Betty) Czepek, Terri (Louis) Stringer, Maria Lombardy, Veronica (Gary) Mangelsen, and Doreen Czepek. Hubert was predeceased by Wilma (Czepek) last April, his loving wife of 57 years, and their dear son Michael in November of 1999. Also predeceased by his parents Richard and Emma Rose, brothers-in-law Fred and John Czepek, Karl Singer, and sister-in-law Hanna Rose. Hubert owned and operated Dunnville Painting & Decorating from 1963 -1997. Family and friends will be received at the BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad St. E., Dunnville, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Dunnville, on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
