THURSTON, Robert Robertson - November 11, 1921 - February 19, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert; in his 88th year, at Ross Memorial Hospital (Palliative Care) in Lindsay. Loving husband of Irma Thurston and the late Annie Thurston. Dear father to Bill Foster (Carol) and his adored daughter, Shirley Thurston, Betty Hatfield (George) and the late Edward and Nick Hunsley, along with all extended family. Brother to Ruby Olver and the late George and Wallace Thurston. He will be missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends were received at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd., 416-267-4656, on Sunday, February 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service was held on Monday, February 23, at 11 a.m. If desired, donations can be made to the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy or Palliative Care - Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay. 11424943
