DAUGAVIETIS, Hugo E., M.D., F.R.C.P. (C.), F.A.C.P., Passed away in his 83rd year on May 28, 2004. Dear friend and beloved husband of Rita. Loving father of Edgar and his wife Marina, Sylvia and her husband Sean, and adoring Opa of Matthew, Brian, N icole and Julie. He was actively involved in establishing the ICU at the General Hospital in St. Catharines, served on many committees at both hospitals, and was Chief of Medicine at the Hotel Dieu at the time of his retirement. His life was dedicate d to medicine and his family. Dr. Daugavietis is at the BUTLER FUNERAL HOME, 33 Duke St. (at James) on Monday, May 31, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A private family service will take place, followed by cremation.
