PLATT, William, At his home in England, on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, William Platt, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Platt (1999). Loving father of Pamela Hills of the UK, Rodney Platt of St. Catharines, Wendy Jackson of Beamsvil le, Jennifer Jeffries of St. Catharines and Penny Oliver of St. Anns. Dear grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister Violet Halls of the UK. Predeceased by his 3 brothers. William served in the R oyal Air Force during WWII and was President of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 393, Smithville from 1987-1989. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and Legion Service will be held at MERRITT FUNERAL HOME, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday, July 2, 2004 at 11 a.m. Inurnment St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery, Smithville.
