LAUGHTON, Margaret Ellen (McGhie), Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at St. Catharines General Hospital on June 5, 2004 in her 78th year. Predeceased by beloved husband Bert and son Peter. Dear, feisty mother of Bruce, Nora and Peter, mother-in-law of D ebbie and Simone, and loving grandmother of Keith, Gwen, Michael, Morgan, Emma and Erin. Daughter of the late T. Lorne McGhie and Reta Coulter (Edwards). Among friends, Margaret cherished the love and support of neighbours Mario and Rosella Del Duca, Craig and Mary Lou Hanyan, and long time friend Ruth Pederson of Montreal. Special thanks to friends Tracy and Karin, Dr. Waler and the General's 3rd floor nursing staff. A St. Catharines resident for 24 years, Margaret was a lover of books, an acti ve member of the Laurier Liberal Ladies, into geneology, and adored her dog, Jessie.
