STEPHENS, Mabel, Suddenly, surrounded by her loving family at Desert Spring Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday, June 21, 2004 at the age of 74. Beloved wife of 53 years to Ron Stephens. Loving mother of Andy (Robin) Stephens, Barb Daly and Paula Stephens. Nana will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Sean Daly and Robert Stephens. Dear sister of Sydney (Betty) Hough, Audrey (Ernie) Jukes, George and Barb Hough and Doreen Hough. Predeceased by sister Marion and brother Ronald. Dear sis ter-in-law of Jean Stephens and Midge Hough. Mabel will be missed by her great aunt Irene Smith and many cousins, nieces, nephews and treasured friends. Mabel worked with the Thorold Cancer Society for over 25 years, she was a service to patient chai rman, involved with fund raising for the Daffodil Tea, a volunteer for Meals On Wheels, a member and past president of Niagara Heritage Quilters Guild and a founding member of the Monday Morning Quilters Group. Mabel was also a lifetime active member of St. John's Anglican Church, Thorold, a Sunday school teacher, a choir member and was involved in the fund rasing bazaars for the church. Mabel's family will receive their friends at the LAMB-BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME, 2 Regent St., Thorold on Frid ay 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 12 Carlton St. S., Thorold on Saturday at 11 a.m. Rev. Canon Dr. Cathie Crawford-Browning officiating. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery, Thorold.
