VAN DER KANT, William, Peacefully after a short illness at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday, June 26, 2004 in his 60th year. William is survived by his loving companion of 32 years, Carolyn Olszewski-Van der Kant and loving father of Deanna Van der Kant. Also survived by his mother Michelina Van der Kant of Welland, his brothers Pete (Janice) of Crystal Beach, Martin (Kathy) of Niagara Falls, Henry (Sandra) of Welland and sisters Koosje (John) Stassen of Fenwick and Marlene (Calv in) Goss of Welland as well as many nieces, nephews and numerous dear friends locally and in British Columbia. Will was predeceased by his father Henry Van der Kant (1994). He will be sadly missed. A celebration of Will's life will be held at the GEO RGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines for a reception in the Kristen French Fellowship Room for family and friends on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
