GOWER, Wayne Douglas Howard, After a courageous battle with cancer, passed away on Sunday, June 27th, 2004 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Wayne Gower is the beloved husband of Rose (DiTommaso). Loving father of Brenda Trombley, Carol (Tony Bartkowiak) Blough and Cindy Gower. Loving stepfather of Paul (Debbie) Martin and Andrea (Greg) Teague. Much loved grandpa/papa of Amber, Brittany, Ryan, Kara, Kristopher and Lauren. Dear son of Lillian and the late Lorne Gower. Dear brother of Georg e (Rita), Bob (Maryann), Josie, brother in law of Matt (Lynn) DiTommaso and very dear and close friend to Al Provik. Wayne was a dedicated worker for Canada Customs with over 30 years of service as a Superintendent and was respected for his honesty a nd integrity by all his co-workers. Wayne served the East Bertie Fire Hall as a volunteer for many years. Wayne was an extraordinary loving person who brought happiness and always a helping hand to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the Fort Erie Palliative Homecare, namely Darlene and Audrey, to Dr. John Michiels, Dr. Saltman and Dr. Kerley and to all the nurses at the St. Catharines General Hospital. BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie, entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock.
