Virginia SOUTH

Virginia South Family and friends gathered at the Gateway Pentecostal Church, on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, as Reverend Ken Jeffrey, conducted services in memory of the late Virginia South. Interment followed at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. Born in Callander, on February 7, 1932, Virginia was the beloved daughter of the late Louis South and his wife the former Jane Anderson. Virginia worked as a Telephone Operator for Bell Canada, here in North Bay for many years, retiring in the mid 80s. She remained active with the Bell Pioneers Club and her Church. She will be mourned by her loving sisters Shirley Hepburn of British Columbia, Hazel (Mrs. Jerry Castillo) of Washington, Phyllis (Mrs. Dave Whidden) of British Columbia and Mary Lou (Mrs. John Shutt) also of Washington. Lovingly remembered by all her nieces and nephews, especially those who were able to be close to her, Bill & Lynn, Darlene, Steve and Debi. Predeceased by her siblings Mabel Argo, Gordon and Alfred South. Virginia passed away peacefully at the Sudbury Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, July 10, 2004. She was 72 years old.
