CLEAT, James, Having fought a courageous battle, James ( Scotty) Cleat left to be with the Lord, on July 19, 2004, at the age of 73, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Jim was the husband, companion and best friend for 50 years of wife Ma ry. He leaves behind a loving family who cherished every moment they had with him. Left with love and memories in their hearts are his mother Isabella Cleat, sister Sheena Harris, daughters Shannon (Wade) Wurfel, Wilma (Fred) Parker, Rosemary Lesso, Diane (Mike) Hopkins and one son Ian (Heather) Cleat. Loving Papa to Andrea & Stephen Wurfel, Tanya & Michael Terry, Tate Parker, Christopher McKenzie, Ashley Lesso, Kevin & Amanda Hopkins, Jamie & Anna Cleat and extended family Julie & Jason Parker. He will be missed dearly by great-grandchildren Colin, Justin, Ashton & Daniel as well as several nieces, nephews and family in Scotland. Predeceased by his father William, brother Ian, sister Elizabeth, infant daughter Andrea, son-in-law Doug. brot her-in-law Jim and nephew James Ian. Jim was a devoted member and elder of Kirk-on-the-Hill Presbyterian Church in Fonthill and a retiree from John Deere after 30 years, an avid member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 613, a member of Phoenix Lodg e 535, A.F. & A.M. and a loyal golfer and curler. He loved being involved. He touched many lives and was loved and respected by many. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 21st at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME - DIXON CHAPEL, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill. The funeral service will be conducted at Kirk-on-the-Hill Presbyterian Church, 1344 Haist Street, Fonthill, on Thursday, July 22nd, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Susanne Rescorl officiating. Interment Fonthill Cemetery.
