RIZZUTI, Cataldo, peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in his 90th year on Wednesday July 28, 2004. Beloved husband of the late Antonietta (1995). Surviving is a brother Luigi, Toronto and sister-in-law Delfina Pantusa, Niagara Falls. Pre-deceased by a brother Vince, B.C. and sisters Erminia Rizzo, Toronto, and Maria Mele, Italy. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy. Before immigrating to Canada, Mr. Rizzuti was a competitive cyclist. He continued to cycle as a hobby after coming to Canada. Mr. Rizzuti worked for many years at Gerber Baby Foods retiring at the age of 65. During his working years Mr. & Mrs. Rizzuti operated a Tourist Home on Robert St. The family will receive friends at the Niagara Funeral Home, 5647 Main St. on Thursday July 29, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's Church, Buchanan Ave., on Friday July 30, 2004 at 11 a.m. The Rite of Committal will follow in Fairview Cemetery where Mr. Rizzuti will be laid to rest beside his wife in the family plot. Vigil prayers will be said in the Chapel of the Funeral Home on Thursday at 2 p.m. At the request of the family, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
