FUNK, Gerald E., Peacefully, at Rapelje Lodge, Welland, on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, in his 83rd year. Cherished husband for 45 years to Margaret Funk (nee Mitchell). Beloved father of James Funk of Welland and Linda Funk of Wainfleet. Loved brother -in-law of Jeanette Funk. Loved uncle of Ana Lorraine Stirling (Randy) and Melanie Laskaris (Peter). Also survived by great-nephews, Kyle and Ryan Stirling. Predeceased by parents, Wesley and Irene Funk, his brother Robert Funk and sister, Dorothy Ke lls. Mr. Funk and his brother Robert became partners in R.H. Funk Surveying and Engineering for some 38 years. Friends are invited to visit at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. Pastor Jukka Saarinen will conduct a memorial service to be held at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church on Monday, August 16th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery, Ridgeville. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Matthew 's Lutheran Church, the Alzheimer Society of Niagara, the Rameses Shrine Club or a Charity of Choice would be deeply appreciated by the Funk family.
